European City of Culture with Guntner Drycoolers

For completion in time for its year as the European City of Culture the city embarked on an ambitious redevelopment plan. The Paradise Project is a large retail-led mixed use development with areas of varying character both in terms of scale and use:- 6 districts, each having its own distinctive character.

Opening in May 2008 more than 200,000 visitors packed into the City's new £1billion Liverpool ONE shopping development on the first day of trading.

The site covers over 42 acres with 40 individually designed buildings and over 154,000m2 of shopping.

Each retail district is imbued with a unique offer and atmosphere. The complementary and interconnecting districts have purposefully been designed to allow each to appeal to different types of consumers.

Two distinct dry cooler systems were supplied to Crown House Technologies as part of the shopping centre's air-conditioning demands. Working in conjunction initially with the design team to meet the specific needs of the individually designed buildings. "Following a protracted design process Güntner was awarded the contract to supply 22 dry coolers from Crown House Technologies. Units were supplied in phases for installation on specially designed platforms to ensure air flows maintained whilst enabling the units to be installed directly next to each to limit required roof space area." explains Justin Scofield Managing Director of Guntner UK.
