The year 2006 began with exciting projects for us, our prestigious order for the new Walton-on-Thames shopping centre was delivered along with the new PFI Leeds oncology hospital dry air coolers; a staggering 14 truck loads of them. Both projects were successfully handled by our Sales Manager Justin Scofield from start to finish.
We delivered a shiny stainless colour
dry cooler to Royal Academy of Artrim, London.
We then delivered Brompton hospital condensers in London and a special design
centrifugal fan condenser for Sandcastle at Blackpool. This was a unit
specially designed to cater for Blackpool’s harsh sea environment and
sand being blown off the beaches.
As the year progressed, we saw further contracts being awarded, the most prestigious one by mid-2006, where Justin again managed to secure 18 truck loads of dry coolers for the paradise street complex in Liverpool. This city will celebrate its being chosen as the “Culture City of Europe” in 2008 hence the big rush to complete this major project prior to this date.
In the mean time our friends far away in Turkey were keeping us busy with their orders for the Tesco supermarkets springing up all across their country.

The autumn began with an order for Royal Bank of Scotland’s nearly refurbished Aldgate offices where 12 truckloads of dry coolers were awarded. This major contract was followed by a variety of orders and a special one for us was the supply of 8 large ammonia Condensers to Star Refrigeration for their GSK project. Our order book didn’t only cover dry coolers and condensers but also plate heat exchangers for process applications. We also had a nice order for Queens University, Belfast from our established customer Leslie King.
The increase of interest in free cooling/energy saving projects where our ECA certified dry coolers can be used to provide cooling at a fraction cost of an air cooled chiller, was extremely exciting for us and several dry coolers were supplied in this manner to plastic injection/presses/data centre’s and chilled beam projects.
When we were awarded from Cambridge University another 4 truck loads of dry coolers, we were very pleased to add another
building at the University onto our reference list.
