Plate Heat Exchangers

Plate Heat Exchangers are, as the name implies, a composition of several embossed plate positioned next to each other with a series of gaskets. Heat exchange takes place by passing two different temperature mediums over opposing side of the plates. The type of PHE is referred to as a fluid to fluid heat exchanger.

Other versions of Plate Heat Exchangers include being used as evaporators (low pressure/low temperature refrigerant to chill water) and condensers (high pressure/high temperature).
