microox® technology: A milestone in the development of stationary refrigeration engineering

Microox

The microox® technology is the perfection of the microchannel technology that was up to now mainly used in the automotive sector. Until now, the necessary know-how for using this technology in stationary refrigeration engineering was not available. For stationary refrigerating installations, mostly larger heat exchangers are required, and the focus is much more on the optimal cost/performance ratio than on the weight and compactness of the unit. Up to now, the dimensions of the microchannel heat exchangers were too limited to be used for stationary installations. It would have been necessary to combine too many modules in a time-consuming and laborious way. Additionally other specific requirements have to be satisfied. Guntner has invested two years of research and development to adapt the technology for stationary refrigeration engineering. The technology was adapted to the special requirements of refrigeration and air conditioning industry and accordingly dimensioned.

The following points were especially demanding: the required high performances with the corresponding coil sizes, the adaptation to the fields of application and the consideration of the pressure level of the refrigerant.

The result was a heat exchanger module - the new series GVX developed by Guntner - that combines numerous advantages all in one unit.
